Relevance of the Samaritan Hospital
Public health facilities are not in the required number to serve the total population in the region. So, the existing govt. health centres are supposed to serve a huge population of the area. As a result, Govt. cannot able to give comprehensive eye care support for the villages. At the same time, Samaritan Hospital, which is situated in Pateri village of Satna district, is providing comprehensive eye care services for the poor and marginalized people of the remote area of Bundelkhand region with the limited facilities. Every year we conducted more than 400 outreach camps and 4000 cataract surgeries in the area with the support of Sight savers International and District blindness Control Society.
